Rehabilitation

Structured recovery programmes following injury, surgery, or a period of reduced mobility — progressive exercise and manual therapy to rebuild strength and movement.

Patient working through rehabilitation exercises

What to expect

Your treatment plan

  • Progressive exercise — structured around your ability, built up over time
  • Manual therapy — joint mobility, stiffness, scar tissue
  • Functional movement training — real-life activities, not just gym exercises
  • Joint injection therapy — offered following a full clinical assessment to confirm suitability, not on request
    • Steroid injections — reduce pain and inflammation in certain joint/soft-tissue conditions
    • Hyaluronic acid injections (e.g. Ostenil) — a naturally occurring substance found in joints, considered for certain painful/arthritic joints to reduce pain, improve movement, and support the joint
  • Home exercise programmes — keep progressing between sessions
  • Equipment rental — muscle and nerve stimulator machines for home use — supports muscle strengthening for general lower-limb weakness or after a knee/hip replacement, helps manage foot drop, and increases mobility, strength, and balance
